MSRP is the US list price. The Pokémon Company hasn't announced Delta Reign's, so these are the earlier Mega Evolution sets' list prices. Retail is GameStop's price, checked Oct 13, 2026. Presale is the TCGplayer market price of presale listings on Oct 15, 2026; presale prices often move sharply once product ships. Odds and hit values are forecasts (see below) and assume every card in a rarity is equally likely. “Hit value” is the average forecast market value of the Double Rares and better in those packs, before selling fees, not what a typical box returns: most return less, and a few big pulls lift the average.
Forecast pull rates
No one has measured Delta Reign's odds yet. These are the pooled measured rates of the last 5 Mega Evolution main sets, applied to Delta Reign's card counts.
| Rarity | Forecast odds per pack | 95% range | One specific card | Based on |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Double Rare10 cards (expected, not yet confirmed) | 1 in 520.71% | 20.23%–21.20% | 1 in 48 | 5,511 hits in 26,606 packs5 sets |

Why these sets: they're the same series and pack design (a 10-card pack with Double Rares and Ultra Rares in the rare slot, Illustration Rares, Special Illustration Rares, and the Mega Hyper Rare in a reverse-holo slot), and their rates have been very stable: Special Illustration Rares ran 0.99% to 1.25% per pack across all of them, and no set differs from the others by more than chance. The 95% range is where the true rate likely sits if Delta Reign matches them; it's widest for the Mega Hyper Rare, which rests on about 22 pulls in all. Japanese packs are built differently (5 cards, 30 per box), so Storm Emeralda's rates don't carry over. Some hit and pack counts are worked out from each study's published rate and margin. Measured rates for each set: Mega Evolution, Phantasmal Flames, Perfect Order, Chaos Rising, Pitch Black.

Japan today: TCGplayer market price for the near-mint Japanese card, via Scrydex, on Oct 14, 2026. Forecast: our middle estimate of the English price; the range is built to hold about 80% of real prices, judging by how far the method missed on earlier sets (see how we forecast). English numbers appear as they're revealed; cards in Storm Emeralda that don't make the English set will drop off.
Forecast pack value
What the hits in an average pack would be worth at our forecast prices, rarity by rarity.
| Rarity | Forecast odds | Average card (forecast) | Adds per pack |

| All hits | $2.31$1.23–$4.34 |
At $8.99 retail a pack's forecast hit value ($2.31) comes out below what you pay. It comes out below the $4.49 expected MSRP, and well below the $13.88 presale price of a loose pack. For comparison, the earlier Mega Evolution main sets' hits are worth $1.24 to $2.79 per pack at today's English prices.
| Set | Released | Hit value per pack today |

| Delta Reign (forecast) | Nov 6, 2026 | $2.31$1.23–$4.34 |
| Pitch Black | Jul 17, 2026 | $1.46 |
| Chaos Rising | May 22, 2026 | $1.24 |
| Perfect Order | Mar 27, 2026 | $1.34 |
| Phantasmal Flames | Nov 14, 2025 | $2.79 |
| Mega Evolution | Sep 26, 2025 | $2.03 |
Why the forecast runs high: Storm Emeralda's prices
Storm Emeralda's Japanese cards cost more than the earlier Japanese Mega sets' in 4 of 5 rarities, led by Illustration Rares at 2.0x the highest earlier set. Part of that may be popularity (Mega Rayquaza is a fan favorite). Part is likely age: Storm Emeralda came out Jul 31, 2026, about 11 weeks before these prices, and prices for a new set can ease as more packs are opened. If Storm Emeralda's prices ease, these forecasts fall with them, so the low end of each range is the more cautious number to plan around.
| Rarity | Storm Emeralda | Earlier Japanese Mega sets |
|---|---|---|
| Double Rare | $0.71 | $0.41–$0.655 sets |
| Illustration Rare | $5.19 | $2.17–$2.595 sets |
| Ultra Rare | $5.25 | $2.67–$4.785 sets |
| Special Illustration Rare | $66.66 | $37.14–$1315 sets |
| Mega Hyper Rare | $946 | $169–$7405 sets |
Average near-mint Japanese market price of one card of each rarity, in USD, Oct 14, 2026. Earlier sets: Mega Brave + Mega Symphonia (Mega Evolution), Inferno X (Phantasmal Flames), Nihil Zero (Perfect Order), Ninja Spinner (Chaos Rising), and Abyss Eye (Pitch Black).
Market prices before selling fees. A set's value usually concentrates in a few cards: here the Mega Hyper Rare and the Special Illustration Rares make up most of it, so the forecast for those few cards moves the whole number.
Who drew the cards, and does it matter?
Each illustrator's record on English cards: how their hit cards sell compared with cards of the same set, rarity, and Pokémon.
Of the 19 illustrators behind Delta Reign's Illustration Rares, Special Illustration Rares, and Mega Hyper Rare, 11 have enough English cards to judge, and 2 of them have usually beaten comparable cards. Artists matter less than you might think: in our study of 742 English Illustration and Special Illustration Rares, the rarity slot explained about 49% of price differences and the artist about 2%. Because the English cards reuse the Japanese art, how much collectors like each artwork is already in its Japanese price, so we don't add a separate artist bonus to the forecasts.

“Comparable” is what a card's set, rarity, and Pokémon predict, from every English card with an artist credit and a price (20,380 cards, prices Oct 12, 2026). Records for Illustration and Special Illustration Rares use the artist's IR/SIR cards when they have at least six; other rows use all their hit cards. 5ban Graphics and aky CG Works are CG studios that render most standard Pokémon ex. A strong record is no guarantee for any one card.
How we built these forecasts
- Pull rates. We pooled the verified, measured rates of Mega Evolution, Phantasmal Flames, Perfect Order, Chaos Rising, and Pitch Black: same series, same pack design. Each rarity's forecast is total hits divided by total packs, with a 95% range on that pooled count. We checked the pooling: forecasting each set from the other 4 came within a few percent of its measured Double, Illustration, and Ultra Rare rates, and the rarer slots differed by no more than chance. “One specific card” divides by Delta Reign's card count and assumes every card in a rarity is equally likely.
- Card prices. We matched 229 hit cards that appear in both an earlier English Mega Evolution set and its Japanese original (same name, rarity, and artist) and recorded how the English price compares with the Japanese one. Each Delta Reign card's middle forecast blends two estimates from today's Storm Emeralda price: the English/Japanese ratio of the 12 matched cards of the same rarity with the closest Japanese price, and a trend line fitted across all matched cards. Price level matters: lower-priced cards usually sell for more in English than in Japanese, while the top chase cards often sell for less. Blending keeps the few top cards, which have no close neighbours, from borrowing cheaper cards' ratios.
- Ranges. We hid each earlier set in turn, forecast its cards from the other sets, and recorded how far off we were. A card's range is the middle 80% of those misses for cards of the same rarity and similar price, so it's as wide as our real track record.
- Pack value. Forecast odds for each rarity times the average forecast price of a card in it, added up across rarities.
- Testing it. We ran the price method on the earlier sets, forecasting each card only from the other sets' cards. The real English price landed inside our range for 74% of 229 cards, and the middle forecast missed by 34% on a typical card. For cards worth $20 or more in Japan: 64% inside the range, typical miss 43% (28 cards). Japanese prices are much better at ranking cards than at pricing them: in all 5 earlier sets, the Pokémon with the most valuable Japanese card also had the most valuable English one, though the exact printing matched in only 3 of 5: English buyers pay relatively less for Mega Hyper Rares, so the same Pokémon's Special Illustration Rare can match or beat it. A whole set's cards tend to run high or low together, so the pack value forecast missed by 11% to 41% depending on the set (Mega Evolution 41% low, Phantasmal Flames 15% low, Perfect Order 11% high, Chaos Rising 37% high, and Pitch Black 19% high).
Every number here comes from the formulas above, run by our code on the data listed in the sources; no AI model guessed them. We used AI tools to gather the set details and draft this page, and a person on our team spot-checks that work (how we use AI).
Quick answers
- When does Pokémon Delta Reign come out?
- Delta Reign comes out on Nov 6, 2026 in English. Prerelease events start Oct 24, 2026, and it's on Pokémon TCG Live from Nov 5, 2026.
- How many cards are in Delta Reign?
- Over 135, per The Pokémon Company, with 103 in the main set and the rest numbered past 103 as secret rares. The Japanese version, Storm Emeralda, has 113.
- What Japanese set is Delta Reign?
- Storm Emeralda (ストームエメラルダ), released in Japan Jul 31, 2026. Delta Reign uses its cards and artwork, plus a few cards from Japan's 2026 ex Starter Sets.
- What is the chase card in Delta Reign?
- Mega Rayquaza ex. By Japanese prices today, our forecasts for its English printings are Ultra Rare $9.05–$34.69, Special Illustration Rare $116–$418, and Mega Hyper Rare $176–$672. These are forecasts, not prices: no English copies have sold yet.
- What are the odds of pulling a Special Illustration Rare in Delta Reign?
- Forecast: about 1 in 85 packs, the pooled rate of Mega Evolution, Phantasmal Flames, Perfect Order, Chaos Rising, and Pitch Black. That's a 35% chance of at least one in a 36-pack booster box and 10% in a 9-pack Elite Trainer Box. We'll replace this with measured odds after release.
- Is a Delta Reign booster box worth it?
- A box's forecast hit value is $44.14–$156, about $83.17 on average. That's below the $162 expected MSRP, the $300 retail price, and the $247 presale price. Most boxes return less than the average because a few big pulls lift it. This is a forecast, not financial advice.
