No purchase necessary
Entry is free. Viewing pages, clicking ads or links, making purchases, or any other activity on the Site does not create entries or improve your odds.
Eligibility
Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, excluding New York and Florida, who are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in their state, if older) at the time of entry. Residents of New York and Florida are not eligible. Sponsor's owners, employees, and contractors, anyone else involved in running the Promotion, and members of their immediate families (spouse, parents, children, siblings, and their spouses) or households are not eligible.
Entry periods
The Promotion begins on [launch date] and runs in monthly entry periods. Each entry period starts at 12:00:00 a.m. Eastern Time on the first day of a calendar month and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. Eastern Time on the last day of that month. Sponsor's computer is the official timekeeper.
The Promotion continues in consecutive monthly entry periods until Sponsor ends it. Sponsor will post notice on the Site at least 30 days before the final entry period begins, and the final entry period will run to completion, subject to the General conditions below.
How to enter
Visit the Site's giveaway page, provide a valid email address, confirm you meet the eligibility requirements, agree to these rules, and confirm your entry using the link sent to that email address.
- An entry belongs to the entry period in which it was submitted. It isn't complete until it's confirmed, and the confirmation link expires 48 hours after it's sent.
- Limit one entry per person per entry period, regardless of the number of email addresses used.
- Entries made by automated means, scripts, or bots, or that use false information, are void. Incomplete, late, or unconfirmed entries are void.
- If there's a dispute about who made an entry, it's treated as made by the person who holds the email account used.
- Opting in to any newsletter is optional and has no effect on eligibility or odds.
Milestones and drawings
A “milestone” is completed each time the Site records 50,000 qualified reader visits. A qualified reader visit is a page on the Site that a person loaded in a web browser and actually viewed, counted at most once per visitor, per page, per 30 minutes and at most 25 times per visitor per day, excluding bots, data-center traffic, Sponsor's staff, and error pages, and subject to other limits that stop abuse. The Site's How it works page describes the count in more detail. Visits measure the Site's overall readership: no entrant's own visits, purchases, or other activity affect whether they win.
Each milestone completed during an entry period triggers one random drawing.
- A drawing includes every eligible entry for that entry period that was confirmed before the milestone completed.
- Limit one prize per person per entry period. A winner is removed from that period's remaining drawings.
- If no milestone completes during an entry period, no drawing is held for that period, and its entries don't carry over to the next one.
- The milestone size may change only at the start of an entry period, with notice posted on the Site before that period begins.
Prizes
One prize is awarded per milestone. The prize for each milestone, and its approximate retail value (“ARV”), is posted in the prize schedule on the giveaway page before that milestone completes, and that posting is part of these rules. Prizes are new, sealed trading card products such as booster bundles, Elite Trainer Boxes, collection boxes, or booster boxes. Total ARV awarded in an entry period depends on the number of milestones completed in it.
- Prizes are funded as described in the Giveback Policy. Awarding a posted prize doesn't depend on the Community Fund's balance.
- No cash alternative, transfer, or substitution, except that Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater ARV if the posted prize becomes unavailable.
- Winners are responsible for all taxes on prizes. Winners receiving $600 or more in prizes in a calendar year must provide a completed IRS Form W-9 before the prize ships and will receive a Form 1099.
- Prizes ship only to addresses in eligible states and the District of Columbia, with tracking. Sponsor isn't responsible for a prize lost, stolen, or damaged after the carrier confirms delivery.
- Prizes are awarded “as is,” with only the manufacturer's warranty, if any.
Odds
Odds of winning a drawing depend on the number of eligible entries in it: with N eligible entries, each has a 1 in N chance.
Drawing method
When a milestone completes, Sponsor records its timestamp and takes a snapshot of eligible entries. Each entry appears in the snapshot only as its entry code, a one-way hash of a random entry ID, shown to the entrant when they confirm. Sponsor publishes the SHA-256 hash of the entry list (the entry codes sorted, one per line). The drawing uses the randomness of the first round of the drand (League of Entropy) "quicknet" chain published at least ten minutes after the milestone timestamp. The winning entry is SHA-256(drand randomness ‖ entry-list hash), with both values written as hexadecimal text and read as a number, modulo the number of eligible entries, plus one, as a line number in the sorted list. All inputs are published on the Site's winners page so the result can be independently verified.
If drand doesn't publish a round in that window, the drawing uses the first round published after it resumes. If drand stops operating, Sponsor will announce a replacement source of public randomness on the Site before the next drawing that uses it.
Winner notification and claiming
Potential winners are notified by email within three business days of their drawing and must respond, with a shipping address in an eligible state or DC, within seven days. A potential winner is not a winner until eligibility is verified. Sponsor may require a signed declaration of eligibility and a liability and, where lawful, publicity release, returned within seven days of being sent. If a potential winner doesn't respond in time, is ineligible, doesn't return required forms, or the prize is returned as undeliverable, the prize is forfeited and an alternate winner is drawn from the same entries using the same method and the first drand round published at least ten minutes after the forfeiture is recorded.
Publicity
Where permitted by law and with the winner's consent, Sponsor may publish the winner's first name, last initial, and state, along with the drawing record.
General conditions
Sponsor may disqualify anyone who tampers with the Promotion, enters fraudulently, or violates these rules. If the Promotion can't run as planned because of fraud, technical failure, or other causes beyond Sponsor's control, Sponsor may modify, suspend, or end it, and any affected drawing will be held from eligible entries received before the problem. Sponsor's decisions on all matters relating to the Promotion are final. These rules control if anything else on the Site or in an email conflicts with them. If any part of these rules is found invalid, the rest still applies, and Sponsor's choice not to enforce any part isn't a waiver of it.
Release and limits of liability
By entering, entrants agree to release Sponsor and its owners, employees, and agents (the “Released Parties”) from liability for any injury, loss, or damage arising from the Promotion or from accepting or using a prize, to the extent permitted by law. The Released Parties aren't responsible for lost, late, incomplete, or misdirected entries or emails, or for technical failures of any kind. Nothing in these rules limits liability that can't be limited under applicable law.
Disputes
These rules are governed by the laws of Utah, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute about the Promotion will be resolved individually, without any class action, in the state or federal courts located in Salt Lake County, Utah.
Changes to these rules
Sponsor may change these rules only for future entry periods, by posting the new version on this page before the entry period it applies to begins. An entry is governed by the version in effect when it was submitted, except for changes required by law or permitted under General conditions.

Email addresses are used to administer the Promotion and contact winners. Shipping addresses are collected only from winners. Personal information is not sold. Newsletter email is sent only to entrants who opt in. The Site's privacy policy has the details.
